That Apps are growing in popularity is not surprising: there are many options and most apps are usually free to download via Android and IOS. But the choice is also becoming more extensive. You want the best apps on your phone or tablet but you don't know what the right choice is. In this articles the 5 must have apps to make your trip and stay easier.



#1. Google translate

Asking for directions or even striking up a conversation in a language you don't speak? Google translate is the solution

This free app from Google makes translating words or sentences easy. The app offers several options. You can type, write or speak to translate. Google translate offers more than 100 different languages to translate



#2. Currency converter plus

Searching for a Hotel, resort, store or restaurant in a foreign city is a thing of the past with Goolge Maps. Google Maps is the most downloaded navigation in the world and for good reason. This app is very accurate and can also be used offline. Google Maps uses real-time traffic information so you know where it is busy and what your exact driving time will be. Google maps offers route guidance to travel by car, public transport and on foot. If you do not know the address where you need to be you can also search for the name of the restaurant you want to go to for example.




#4. PackPoint

We all experience it from time to time. At our destination, we find out that we forgot stuff. This doesn't have to happen anymore with the app PackPoint.

This smart app helps you pack your suitcase without forgetting anything. This smart app takes into account the length, destination and weather. You can also add activities, travel with baby so that everything goes in the suitcase for this as well. The PackPoint app allows you to share your list with other PackPoint users.


#5. Tripadviser

Tripadviser is perhaps the most used travel app. Easily search for Hotels, resort and hostels based on location, price, reviews etc. This app also allows you to search for restaurants and attractions at your travel destination. Users can leave reviews and photos through the app.


A note on Tripadviser. Many Restaurants on Koh Samui are not listed on Tripadviser. Therefore, please also get advice on restaurants when you are at your destination.
